Prozinc shot timing question?

I just got a new job and will be working many hours. I don't know if I will be able to give Babee her shot 12 hours apart. How far out can I go without missing a shot with Prozinc? My cat sitter is not available and I start the job on Wednesday. I had no advance notice on this job and I just found out this evening. I don't think I will be able to get a replacement sitter with such short notice.

Babee just got over Pancreatitis so I don't want to change her routine much. Any ideas on how I should proceed?

Thanks,
Kelly & Babee

I won't be able to give her AM shot later, since I have a long commute. I had to bump up her AM shot time by 30 mins already.

I am really re-thinking this job. I need the money since I have been unemployed since 3/2010 and just had a $3000 ER bill for her Pancreatitis. Babee is more important to me.

I understand your concern but jobs are hard to come by these days & what if she needs any other vet treatment. Without a job will you be able to take care of her if she gets sick again? Angela & Henry over on the Pro Zinc board shoot on a 10/14 schedule I think. Go take a look at her SS & post over there. If Sue's still on I think she knows what Henry's story is. I'm sorry, it's a tough situation to be in.

You need to do what you need to do. Is this job going to last a long time? I mean, is it a short term thing or permanent?

Little more detail. What time will the AM shot be every day? And best guess for PM shot? (Eastern time if possible, lol)
And what is the current dose each shot.
We might be able to figure out a different dose for AM and PM and take the time issue into account when doing so.

We have till Wednesday to figure it out, right?

You might want to post the same question in PZI, where people who have to do this sort of schedule are sure to see it.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for your help. Yes, I start Wednesday and I am on east coast time....in NJ. LOL

The AM shot will be at 7am as of now. I don't know what time I will be getting home for the PM shot, because they have warned of a lot of overtime. It could be as late as 9pm or 10pm. I will find out tomorrow I guess. Its a temp job, but could turn into perm at some point next year. I am so stressed about this whole situation. Babee means the world to me and with her recent Pancreatitis episode I am so leary of any changes. Babee is doing great now, I don't want to rock the boat.

Any chance you could find a reliable person to stop by and do the shot? Maybe a college-bound, senior in high school, or a nursing or vet tech student?
