Susan & Watson

It has been two years since I have been on this board, long enough that I had to re-register. My heartbreaking news is that after a valiant fight with liver cancer, my Watson passed away on Feb. 4. I am still struggling to get by without him. I miss him so terribly. He was diagnosed with diabetes in the fall of 2007, and then we found he had acromegaly in the winter of 2008. We were doing really well, until the cancer diagnosis on December 28th, 2010. We had five more weeks together, and then he was just too tired.

We were using ProZinc Insulin, and I have two bottles that I would like someone here to have, no charge. After Watson's acromegaly diagnosis, Karen & Smokey (GA) were kind enough to send us Smokey's leftover insulin to help us out, as were using extremely high doses. I want to pay that forward.

If you use ProZinc, please message me and let me know so that I can help.

UPDATE: The insulin has been claimed.

Best to all
Susan & Watson (GA)

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty cat. It is always so hard. what helps me in times like this is that the more it hurts them better I know that love was. Not sure how to say it to make sense but the pain does lessen and the joy of all the years we have with our kitty cats come back. I just had one die not to long ago. Now I have one that is new diagnosed. She is right now on Humulin but we are trying to get her switched over to the prozinc Insulin since the Humulin is not working. if no one else wants it. It would really help Suzie my cat. She has a lot of problems and it has drained the resources around here.

I am so sorry to hear about your dear Watson. It sounds like you both fought a valiant fight and that Watson was well loved and cared for. I hope that some day soon your memories will let you smile and laugh rather than cry.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Watson sounds like he was a fighter, but yes sadly even the bravest warriors get tired. May he fly free land softly and forever live in your heart till you meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I remember that time right after my Smokey passed, and I sent
out his insulin.

May all your wonderful memories of Watson comfort you...

...'til you meet again.

Oh Susan,
My heart sank to read this. You and your Watson are so fondly remembered by so many of us. Such a lucky boy to have such a wonderful mom to love and care for him. I can only imagine what a difficult time this is for you. Sending the warmest of thoughts. I wish there was more that could help you thru this most painful time of losing such a precious friend.

You and Watson will always live on in our acro community - know that you always have a family there!

Susan,
My condolences on your loss of Watson. While your time on FDMB was before mine, you and Watson will always be members of our acro family.

I'm so very sorry, Susan. What a beautiful boy your Watson was, and a very sweet gesture to think of paying it forward during your grief. Fly free, handsome boy.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. It warms my heart to know you loved him so much and that you two took care of each other until the end.
