ProZinc insulin suppliers in Brooklyn, NY

Hi: My name is Mark and I am new to this forum. I have a 13-yr old male cat recently diagnosed with feline diabetes. My vet has prescribed ProZinc insulin. I have checked some on-line suppliers and will probably go with them in the future for cost-savings.

But I would like to get "Zizzer" started now. Does anyone on this forum know of suppliers in the NYC metro area and where I can get ProZinc + U40 syringes at a reasonable price? Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

Generally you get ProZinc through your vet (as it is a cat insulin) or on line. Your vet still has to give you a prescription or send it in, if you order on line. There are several on line suppliers; they generally ship within a day or two. The price seems to run around $100-120 with shipping extra. Most suppliers seem to be in the Midwest or south. Thanks much. I have located the online providers, but wanted to get him started. My vet originally Lantus, but that has skyrocketed. I have the prescription, and have found a couple Pet Rx in Manhattan that charge $150 + tax. I may have to go that route to start, and then switch to online for the next bottle.
