Props projectile vomiting has stopped, but now she has really bad diarrea and often vomit right after she has been on the litterbox. Just within the last hour and a half she has been on the litterbox 6-8 times, the last 4-5 times not much has come out. I suspect its a side effect of the medicin she get for the tummyacid. From what i can read of the sideeffects there can be both diarrea and vomit. so dont really know if i should stop them now.

Her numbers have been stable after the projectile vomiting has stopped, just getting the smallest dose the last 3 cycles, the one where you press the plunger as hard as you can before putting it into the levemir, letting go of the plunger and the out. Think it might be 0,04 u. She has been holding below 170 on the dose.

Poor kitty. That doesn't sound like much of an improvement. I can't decide which I hate more myself, vomit or diarrhea. :( How long has she been on the stomach acid medication? How's she looking hydration-wise?

She has been on it for 4 days now. the diarrea started a Little bit yesterday, but have gotten really bad today. I think the vomiting is in combination with the diarrea, it comes right after she has been on the litterbox. She has been feeling really good up until now since monday, Little less appetite, but not much.

The projectile vomiting is what i prefer the least, the diarrea is on the litterbox. Just gaver her some dinner and insulin, she ate it, seems a bit tired, but there seems to be a break in the vomit/diarrea for now after 2 hours of stress for her. Hope it is over soon. Been writing with a vet i know a Little, waiting for her advise in wheater to stop the antiacid or not.

Poor baby girl. What do they have her on for the tummy acid? I can see if I can look it up and see if there might be an alternative that would be gentler on the GI tract. I know this sounds weird but contipation can also present as diarrhea and vomiting. What happens is the body pulls extra water into the bowel to try to clear the clog but the newer fecal matter gets runny and oozes around the clog as diarrhea but the clog stays along with the upset tummy and the cramps that comes with it. Any chance she's constipated?

The medicine she is on is called Omeprazol, she gets 10 mg once a day. Its a medicine for humans.

The vomit and diarrea is still taking a break, now for almost two hours. Hoping that was it and that it will stay away. Props seems ok, been eating a bit, but not to much.

Mel i dont think she is constipated, but who knows. She has been having hard poop most of the time for a while. The last few days is has been kind of normal but soft in the end. Today a few normal poops and the a lot of runny stuff.

I sure hope Prop feels better soon. I know all too well about sick kitty....and it is no fun for kitty or owner. Give Prop a hug. :)

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about poor Prop not feeling well. It's been really rough on your baby hasn't it? :-( Don't know if it's of any value, but wanted to tell you that my GA kitty Roney used to have the same problem of vomiting right after she got out of the litter box. She was straining to poop and I googled it and found that if a kitty is straining on the box for any reason, often they will step out of the box after their effort and vomit right nearby, and within a minute or two. I asked my vet about it and he confirmed this was common. Not that it makes it any easier, but wanted to tell you that it is pretty common. Hope your babe feels better soon.

If its just for stomach acid I use Pepcid (famotidine) and it does look like its available in Denmark over the counter like it is in the States. The dosage for a cat is 5mg. I've never had any side effects with my bunch when I've used it. So that might be an option for dear sweet Prop.
