Edited to add: I'm sorry about posting this is second time. I posted it a few minutes ago but I didn't think that it showed up. I'm still trying to get used to this message board.
Jack was newly diagnosed and his insulin should arrive tomorrow night. I've been trying to get a BG reading at home, and haven't been successful yet. A couple of times I was able to draw blood, but can't get enough to get a reading. I'm warming his ear and milking it, but still not enough blood. And he's been such a good boy through all of it! I'm concerned that I won't be able to get a testing before his insulin arrives. What should I do if I can't test first? Also, is there a glucometer that only relies on a smaller amount of blood to get a reading? I am so ready to do this!
