Hello, I have no knowledge at all on probiotics and little questions please as I'm a bit afraid about its use and which type to give.

Does someone have any experiences about it? And when to use it? I saw that there are many products with different kind of bacterias,etc..

My kitty is on antibiotic treatment 2 pill/day (doxycycline) since 2 weeks and in one week it will be the end. I read that probiotics is good to repopulate her intestinal flore with safe bacterias, but
Do I give it to her right after the end of her antibio treatment?
or is it better to wait a few days? weeks?

do I give her directly the 'recommended' dose from the website seller? Or should I be careful and go gradually with the amount I give ?

Is there better products than other? like better combinations of bacterias? Or is this don't really matter when it comes to probiotics?

If someone has any infos, many thanks!sorry for my english

@Critter Mom Mogs, Candy had diarrhea for the whole first year I had her, just non-stop, unending diarrhea. At times it would be so bad I would wonder how she could survive it. I went through all kinds of food trials, medications, etc, nothing really seemed to make much difference. The vet was baffled, said the only way to really diagnose her was to do a biopsy. I couldn't afford that and didn't want to put her through that, either, especially as she was so tiny and underweight. I got very despondent about it. I had her on Fortiflora for several months, and it seemed to keep the worst of it at bay, and she was also on pumpkin added to her food. Still didn't make it stop. I finally tried the Renew Life at the recommendation of another member here. Her diarrhea cleared up almost instantly, almost miraculously. She eats Fancy Feast and some raw/dehydrated and is doing really well! But if she goes a day without her probiotics - and I do mean, literally, one day - she starts to have diarrhea again. As soon as she starts back on it the diarrhea clears up again. I've never seen anything work like that, but I am so grateful that it does!!!

What signs is Lunasa showing that make you think she may have IBD problems? I pray for her that she does not! :bighug:

Sorry, Dalidali, didn't mean to hijack your thread!!!
