Where I work we are constantly selling Primal raw and Primal freeze dried and I am wondering if that is something I could feed my cat. One of my coworkers said that they started feeding her cat this food and she is in remission.

Do any of you guys feed this to your pets?

Haha at first I had such a hard time reading that chart but once I got it I was so happy with what I saw. I am feeding him hill's M/D right now and Primal barely has any carbs in it's diet and m/d has 14.

I tried it with China...she loved the sample pack and then when I went back and bought the big packs, she lost interest, but it's an excellent food for our sugarcats

I am wondering though, if I change to different brand and then he stays on that can I mix up the flavors but still be on the same brand? Would that be okay?

So long as they have similar carbohydrate levels, yes. If very different carbohydrate levels - ex 3% vs 8% - depending on the carb sensitivity, you could get some fluctuating levels that make control difficult unless you develop a sliding scale.

Best to limit food with fish in it because of the mercury in it (see the long chart for explanation). Many suggest limiting it to once a week. Since your cat is on insulin, it is a good idea to transition Moses slowly from high carb to low carb.

Abrupt food changes may provoke food refusal, diarrhea, and/or vomiting. You may reduce the chances of that by switching slowly, about 20-25% per day. This also lets you monitor any impact on the glucose levels.
