Preventing pancreatitis

Can we? Is it possible? I want to be armed and ready next time it’s suspected. I can not afford another huge vet bill and I’m also losing faith that they even know what they are doing if she becomes DKA again.

I feel sick knowing simple things could have been done to prevent her from staying in the hospital as long as she did (6 days, 8000$ bill)

My cat Buddy has chronic pancreatitis and I have been told that he needs to be on a low fat diet, low fat & low carbs is not easy to find. He eats Dr.Esley's canned & dry, it is sold on Chewy's or Amazon.

My cat had it quite a few years back now. Was told low fat diet. Weruva Paw Lickin Chickin was one of the best foods I found. Low fat, low carb, high protein and not fish based.

Is it just me or is that an obscenely high vet bill considering there was no surgery or dental involved.
We have spent mortgage payments on MRI's, this is not me being cheap. You won't know unless you ask.

I feel the same way, but the 24 hr. vet's are outrageous.
