Squeaky and KT (GA) Member Since 2011 Oct 10, 2011 #4 Humulin N settles and separates even in a prefilled syringe. At least it did for me...consistently. I can preload Lantus but not the Humulin. I don't know the answer, I just know what it did when I tried it...

Squeaky and KT (GA) Member Since 2011 Oct 10, 2011 #6 Thanks Hope! So....the prefill on the syringes of both Humulin AND Lantus isn't good...
Hope + (((Baby)))GA Member Since 2009 Oct 10, 2011 #7 Well, when all of us oldies were using Humulin N, L or U, many prefilled their syringes and had no problems. A few days using N is okay.......I would not go a week and I think maybe using a permanent marker on a syringe for the dose would work also.
