Pre drawing syringes?

I have to go out of town tomorrow morning and my boyfriend is going to take over with Peanut for 2 injections. Can I pre draw the insulin and leave the syringes in the fridge?

It's better to draw up a 'sample' dose into another syringe using something like coffee, tea, colored water for him to compare to

Lantus specifically says it shouldn't be pre-filled

Be sure to get him to practice drawing up the dose in front of you several times so that he definitely knows which syringe mark he is aiming for (e.g. he knows to draw to 0.5 IU, not 5 IU).
