:sad: Today has been a bad day... I took the civvie cat Salty to the vet, thinking he had a cold or allergy, and got some bad news. He has both bacterial and viral pneumonia - and he said cats don't get that unless something else is wrong. $400 (ugh) later we are waiting a few days for tests. He said either HIV, Cancer, Heartworms or something I can't remember. The 1st two are untreatable, the 2nd two are treatable with only a 50/50 outcome. Salty is almost 13.
Then.... last week, We took Sprats in (now 16 /12 and my sugar baby) and he had a broken tooth that abscessed and caused a really bad infection. He has a big, ugly, oozing knot on his head. It smells and leaks. He is on antibiotics and will have surgery Thursday to remove the tooth.
My poor babies... I feel so helpless for them!
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. I guess one good thing is that Sprats has been doing pretty well with his diabetes. Last year, I almost lost him 4 times. Thanks to all of you, we made it through!!
