Prayers for The Fur Gang needed-update in 1st post

The whole gang is still not eating well and several are still vomiting. Autumn isn't eating at all and I'm syringe feeding her. Cassanova ate well for the first time well this morning. As soon as the vet opens I'm taking her in since she's the sickest and whatever she has its a safe bet they all do.

I'll update when I can but may be rather scarce on the board until my babies are on the road to recovery.

Update Blood work back and she has an infection that she's trying to fight. I'll pick up her antibiotics tomorrow morning. Also she has a low thyroid but that might be part of the infection will have it rechecked in 10 days. The rest of the kids its just a tummy bug but she's so sick because she can't fight the infection and the tummy bug at the same time. Especially being diabetic. But knowing she is fighting an infection might explain why she can't hold OTJ.

Everyone else is very unhappy they're not being fed or allowed excess to the dog's water bowl. So if they don't eat me in my sleep they should be good and hungry in the morning. Upside no one has puked since we picked it all up.

Oh Mel, I just knew that things were not going well when I didnt see you on the boards at all yesterday. Praying for your fur family, and you and hubby. You must be exhausted.

Well no fever and she was giving them lots of tortitude when they took her blood. Best guess at this point is still food poisoning. So unless her blood work shows something different is to remove all food and water until tomorrow morning. And of course no insulin for Autumn and Cassanova. Now its a waiting game until her cbc results come back.

I'm whipped emotionally, mentally and physically.

I can understand the food thing.. but why the water? that confuses me

Definitely sending healing prayers and thoughts for all the fur gang, especially Autumn. Hoping she turns the corner soon and maybe just taking her longer to get over the food poisoning as she's a grand old dame. What a roller coaster for you all. Hope you can get some rest eventually.

My God what did they tell you to do with 16 cats that have food poisoning? I would be so pissed I would not be able to see straight. Once they get better I would be after Walmart or Friskies whoever fault this is.
I am still praying all 16 babies are alright esp. Autumn.

Well at this point its just not let them have anything to eat or drink for 12hours to completely empty and settle down. Wait to see if Autumn's blood work to come back and see if it shows anything other than what we already know (diabetic). And go from there.

That's what's so weird about this whole ordeal with the except of Autumn who clearly doesn't feel good. And the disinterest in food and vomiting everyone is acting completely normal. Still cuddling and purring and playing, napping in a loose curl etc.

So I am guessing that the vet said it must be food poisoning for all 16 to have it. She does not think they have a virus or anything else. Is Mariposa sick? She is the youngest and probably very healthy.

She's not ready to say one way or the other until we see Autumn's blood work but because its all of them and all at the same time frame she says its most likely food related. Mariposa isn't diving into her but she's been grazing. And she's being her silly kitten self.

Hopefully later today just depends on how fast the human hospital gets to it.

Prayers from our house to yours. We have been getting a little sick here, but I think its hairballs - I have caught both of them hacking in the past day. Good luck sweetie!
 
Praying for you guys! I've had a couple of bad batches of food make their way through Henry and Mikey. I can't imagine if I had 16 of them suffering at the same time! :o
