my mr b's labwork shows 3.9 which is just a hair away from hypokalemia.
he has had hind leg weakness over a year now, but potassium levels were healthy until recently. we had always chalked off the weakness to diabetic neuropathy. he's been on b12 both oral and subQ for a long time.
it seems the hind leg weakness has gotten worse, which could be the potassium or not. he's got a lot going on now with the SDMA Idexx showing early kidney troubles.
so my question is anyone do potassium supplements? injections? i realize its not to be trifled with without a vet's ok, but my vet has not responded to me so i'm researching in meantime.
