? Possible freeze of Lantus pens

[Mocha aka Cold Play]

My fridge is touchy and I have a thermometer but it only shows near 40, but I checked the Lantus this am and the cool pack from Marks was frozen in the fridge. I checked the pens bu look to be liquid but with the air I can't see movement well. How would I know it froze, would it be cloudy thereafter? I moved it to a small fridge that is more consistent.

No...but if it froze, it should still be frozen and the easiest way to know is to try to pull some out....if you can get some out, then it didn't freeze

When my mom was having heart surgery and China and I were staying in a hotel, I had her insulin freeze in the hotel refrigerator. Since I didn't have any more with me, I ran it under cool water to thaw and used it for several more days....she ended up doing fine

No, it's NOT recommended to let it freeze, but as long as it's clear and the numbers are within what you'd usually expect, it may be fine
