It seems to me that 3 units is a big dose so early in the game. I think I would give less since she has eating problems. Better too high than too low

I've seen on your introductory thread that your little one is intolerant of meat proteins. While the ideal is to feed a diabetic cat a food that has less than 10% calories from carbs that may not always be an option. For cats with other health issues - digestive intolerances for example - sometimes it may be necessary to go with diet choices/treatments to manage more pressing health issue(s) and then work insulin needs around that. Sometimes the 'right' food is the one a kitty can tolerate.

Thanks Mogs, shes doing ok ish, ive not shot her in the last 24 hours, she has now eaten a bit of kitten kibble and actually went to the bowl herself today, were now wondering if maybe she has ulcers or teeth problems as she doesnt look comfortable chewing. So im mashinh up Tuna and giving her kibble just trying to keep the blood sugar up until I get her to our vet (the emergency vet I dont trust, took her there before after she had what looked like a tumour and he wanted to operate, turned out it was a bite and the op wouldve killed her)! So im keeping her hydrated (although now doing that herself) and feeding her as much as she will take, she hasnt been sick, so im keeping positive!x
 
Just an update Pops went vets today and shes no longer diabetic! So glad I trusted my instincts and didnt give her any shots, unfortunately shes now jaundice, so has had an antibiotic shot and see how she goes, typically ate half a sachet in the vets!! Thanks all xx
