Howdy all! :-D

Just touching base today. Finally broke down and purchased an auto feeder for the Poopmeister. It was getting so old, not knowing if BGs were food related due to his habit of snacking every hour or two and what, if anything, to do regarding dose. Now Poop gets fed every 6 hours, and the feeder shuts 3 hours prior to PS times. Woot! I streamlined Poopy's sliding scale and will tweak it as needed. Else wise, Poopy is doing great!

On the personal home front, my doc is having some tests run to see if we can discover why my hands, elbows and shoulders are in almost constant pain (if it's other than RA) and go from there on treatment. I just hope we figure out something soon. Not sure how much more I can take. Ok. Enough about me!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this wacky weather.

Glad to hear the Poopster is doing great! What does he think about the feeder? My guys were a bit scared of ours (the noise it makes when it turns) but that went away quickly when they realized the yummies inside

Hope you can get to the bottom of your pain and find some relief Teresa. I am sure it wears on your incredibly

Healing vibes coming your way!

Glad Poopy is doing good. I hope you can get some answers to your pain. Sending well wishes and healing vibes.

Sounds like Poopy is doing great!
Hope they will be able to find out what is causing your pain and get you feeling better. I have pain in same areas and some is carpal tunnel but most is Fibromyalgia. Have they ruled it out? It causes pain as severe as arthritis from muscle spasms. It sometimes is secondary with RA.
Glad to hear from you and Poopy and sending prayers you will feel better soon.

So glad to hear from you and Poopy; I've missed you. Does Poppy like his feeder? My guys LOVE theirs - bless Oreo's heart, if he sees it stored he'll still go to it hoping for FOODIES!

Sorry you're in such pain; I know it can be all-consuming. In 2008, something went pop in my neck and I discovered that EVERYTHING is connected to your neck! Long story short - I discovered no sleep and constant pain for 12-wks can just about drive you out of your mind  I DO hope they can figure out exactly what's going on and get you some relief.

Prayers and hugs -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

First thing I did was serve dinner in the feeder. After they ate, I placed the +6 meal in there which they could smell. Drove poor Poopmeister a bit nuts, smelling the food and unable to get to it. But, it did the trick teaching them there was food inside. :-D When it turns at +9 they are a bit upset there's no food, but it eases my mind on dosing the PSs I get, knowing they are not food related, and they get their food on a timely basis.

I've noticed the PM +6 food doesn't always get polished off, leaving as much as half, so I wonder how much that plays into the lower AMPS (night of 4/10 left about half and had lower AMPS 4/11). Things that make you go Hmmm.

Will let y'all know the outcome of the nerve test. Until then, we're just waiting on lab results and that to know where to go next. And thanks! :YMHUG:

Glad to see your update, glad to hear Poopy's liking his new feeder!

I've toyed w/ getting one for Grayson so he doesn't have to rip my arm off cuz I'm so slow opening the can... but then he'd have to stay isolated - no dogs OR cats in the room. That would suck for him, as he does like to interact w/ the others - except maybe (dog) Jack. That's why the feeding box looks interesting to me too. Auto feeder in the feeding box... he's got a magnetic collar to let himself in, and my arm is still intact. In theory it sounds good! Was thinking I needed to make it like a window bench, so I didn't have another THING in the middle of the room, but all the HVAC registers are below the windows... this would help keep the food cooler in the summer.... but the diningroom only has one vent! he's not getting all the AC!!! The heat wouldn't be good, so maybe I need to re-think that one. Hmmmm...

Anyways... more thinking out loud...

Sorry to hear you're having some issues. Don't know if it's effective for RA or carpel tunnel... but have you considered chiropractic? For all my aches and pains, that's the first place I go. Of course, if I'd stop doing foolish things, like moving large, heavy pieces of furniture around... ;-) maybe I could stay away! Just my 2 cents. Good luck - hopefully the tests will indicate something that can be treated with only the least interuption in schedule.

As far as the vent, don't let that stop you. You can run duct work under the feeding box to let the air out from the side of the box. Think of it as raising the floor and moving the vent (without really moving the vent). Make sense?

I installed a cabinet in my kitchen doing the same thing. Instead of the register opening near the wall baseboard, it now opens from the baseboard of the cabinet due to the added duct work from the vent to the cabinet baseboard. :-D
