Any guesses why she's so high AMPS? (Most AMPS numbers are her highest readings of the day) Bouncing?
She's still got 2 cycles at 1.0. I up to 1.25 after that?

I really want these numbers to come down and am starting to feel a little helpless. Of course, she'll be lower this afternoon and lower tonight if these cycles trend like the others and then I'll feel better. Just a miserable way to start the day!

I'll +2 and then head for work. At least I'll be home over the weekend. And can worry about her "in person" instead of "remotely."

Re: polly. pmps +6=239. 5/16 AMPS=471

Hi Marilyn,

I've been told that the morning numbers are usually the highest because of the "dawn phenomenon." It's certainly possible that Polly is bouncing because of the yellows yesterday, but I'll leave that interpretation (and the dosing advice) to the more experienced users.

I know it's frustrating to see very little change in the numbers. Hang in there. I have confidence you'll get to the right dose where things will start "clicking" for Polly!

I can't tell looking at her spreadsheet if this is a bounce clearing today (see the numbers are all decreasing since this morning) or not enough insulin. I'm thinking it's a bit of both. Let's just hang in there for 2 more shots (total of 6 cycles) and if she doesn't come into blue or green numbers by then, you could increase to 1.25u. This is still a relatively low dose of insulin and it's very typical that we have to go up in dose until we hit that sweet spot that starts moving a cat into green numbers. Don't be discouraged - this is really normal.

Yes, morning numbers are typically the highest because of Dawn Phenomenon.
