Polling: Do you prefer 1/2" or 5/16" needles - And Why?

Hi Lantus Land!

I'm just switching over from Prozinc & was use to the 1/2" needles & liked them.

I found the half-unit SureComfort u-100 syringes that are 5/16" are a little more difficult to use - harder to tell the needle's fully in. I DO like the half-unit markings, though!

I was just wondering what most of you preferred to use?

I use the 3/10 1/2 unit markings 31 gauge I like them never tried the 5/16

I use 5/16. Gabby's a short hair cat and it's what I started with and what I'm used to. I think members with long-hair cats often prefer the longer needles given how fluffy their cats are.

That makes sense. I like 1/2" & Tigger is Maine Coon (feral style).

Wink has long hair and I always liked the shorter 5/16" needles so I did not shoot through the tent. I always made sure to 'blow aside' the fur to find a nice spot to shoot him.

I like the shorter needles so they don't feel it and I don't need to worry about hitting anything I shouldn't like a vein or whatever.

I like the shorter needles but I'm using Terumo syringes now and they come in 3/8" length...perfect!
