I will retest in 20 min. We had a lower AMPS on May 13th 2021, as well.(" low numbers "for Milo)
And have reduced Insulin to 2.25 now. If anyone would please take a look at Milo's SS
and guide me how to proceed whatever the next glucose reading will show. Will post his result.
Vet increased his Insulin May 6th from 2 Units to 3 Units. I have shot 2.5 Units and 2.25 recently.
***Update:***
Retested Bloodsugar : 6.7 mmol/L (120 mg/dl) Should i skip his dose or decrease please?

Thank you for responding, i can be up for as long as it takes.. 4 hrs or longer.
If you looked at his SS should i shoot 2.25 U or lower to 2.0 U do you think?
And after feeding and shot when to retest again?
I will shoot at 2.25 U and feed. Thanks! should i retest in 20 min again?

Ok i will go ahead and give him 2.25 Units and feed .How long should i wait to retest his BGL?

Just fed and shot 2.25 Units ~ he was starving poor thing! I am learning so much from all of you!
I was 1 hr 10 min. late with his shot this evening how do i walk back to his regular time? Cant remember if its
15 min. intervals or 30 min...AMPS/PMPS are 10 am/10pm do i give his shot at 10:45 AM tomorrow then?

I use 30 min segments.. but Magellan is a totally different cat.. ECID

Test in an hour and post here. You may need to feed LC or MC at +1 depending on that reading.

You can walk back 15 minutes every cycle or half an hour in a day.

Thank you! I only have LC and HC at home. 2 Questions: 1:) I want to remove "The Stalling" words
from my initial post ,did it on May 13th but forget how now.2:) In order for me to add the new BGL reading etc,
do i just edit it in to the original post?

+ 1 @ 4.7 mmol/ 84 mg/dL gave him 2 Tsp Gravy Lovers Chicken Feast in Grilled.
I am surprised that his BGL is dropping again..?

Yes its Fancy Feast. Wow does this mean that i will give him 2.0 Units in The AMPS? (depending on his BGL i guess?) Will test in 30 minutes.

All his food is FF. /Chicken Feast Pate : Carbs 3 ~ Beef Flavored Feast Pate : Carbs: 3 ~ Turkey Giblet Feast: Carbs:2
I have 2 HC FF cans : (i think) They were suggested to have in the hypo kit; FF Gravy Lovers Chicken feast in Grilled
and Turkey Feast in Gravy /Grilled. And guessing that the other FF pates i mentioned here is LC.
I have no idea what food are MC though. Going to do his 30 min test now and will post.

+1.05 @ 4.1 mmol/L / 73 mg/dL It's still going down! Feed 1 TSP FF Turkey Feast in Gravy Grilled.
Should i give him more as his BG is getting lower?
 
It might be a cycle like the one you the 13th? I think 15 minutes is very stresful for you and kitty. It takes some time for food and insulin to take effect. At the moment 1 hour is OK, but if he gets closer to 3.5 you may want to test more often?

Thanks and yes Milo has kept me on my toes for sure, but so glad to see his numbers go lower.
I am not used to" these good " numbers yet. I was late shooting his PMPS 1 hr, so if my normal shooting time is 10:00 Am/10:00 PM should i shoot i this morning at 11;00 AM and roll back for 15 min each cycle..?

It's 15 mins ahead per cycle:
- Tomorrow AM you shoot at 10:45am and PM at 10:30 pm
- Day after AM you shoot at 10:15am and PM at 10:00 pm

Thank you for your advice, i agree he is not a happy camper at the moment! I am doing ok though with all the support i get here. And good to know that if his number are closing in on 3.5 more testing is needed.

Once they start getting used to normal numbers (2.8 to 5.5), they really love it. Being in higher numbers is like a caffeine high. Takes getting used to being without all that sugar in your bloodstream! :)

Magellan has gotten real mellow about his testing. He knows he will get bribes before and after. Mind you when his dad.. Jim tests it is a total different game, Magellan makes Jim chase his furry but down then gets stingy with the blood.
