Alfred is currently on 2.5u ProZinc. AMPS was 415, PMPS 165. Stalled 1/2 hr 181

Am going to stall one more time and see where he's at. I can't stall more than that or I'll be too far off schedule to get to work on time tomorrow.

Just looking for any advice. I would really like to shoot him tonight since I feel like I loose ground when I skip shots, but if I have to skip I'll skip and go from there. It's a marathon not a sprint ... I have to keep reminding myself of that!

Since the number is climbing, as long as you haven't fed him yet, it's probably going to be fine to go ahead and shoot the scheduled dose

Just make sure you have plenty of supplies (strips, HC food, Karo/honey/syrup) and get a +1 and +2 so if you need to intervene, you can do it earlier instead of waiting until he possibly drops too low or too fast

AND you are able to test as often as necessary tonight

I've never shot him this low before, should I do the full 2.5u or lower it?

If you have plenty of supplies and can test as long as necessary, I think I'd shoot 2.0, but if your gut is telling you something different, it's usually best to go with it

I've been trying to find someone that uses ProZinc online but not having any luck.

At the beginning, we say not to shoot if they're under 200, but you've been shooting awhile now and know he doesn't do well when you skip

You could also give an even smaller dose tonight, just to get some insulin into him

No matter what you decide, it's good data to have for the "next time"

Fed him, tested 274, shot fat 1.75 (BCS). Will test again in 2 hours.

This sugar dance isn't very fun

I think with him zooming up that much, that quickly, you could have shot the 2.5U dose, but this will be a good learning experience for you!!

You're right, I should have shot the 2.5.

That blue was so pretty while it lasted ... next time I'll do better, hopefully!
