PMPS 165...Need Advice, Please!!

Spaz's PMPS was 165 (15 minutes ago) and I don't know if I should shoot 1.5u with that. Haven't been home long enough lately to do a curve...but planning to on Sunday.

The ss is filled totally filled out with the info I have...so if I could get some suggestions I'd really appreciate it! Hugs, Kelly & Spaz

I'm not sure what information you do or don't have. In good conscience, if you can't stay up to monitor Spaz, there's just not enough information to suggest that you shoot. With Lantus, dosing is based on the nadir -- the lowest point in the cycle. Given that you don't have daytime tests (I'm presuming you work outside of the house), it's important that you get more than your pre-shot tests in the PM. The high pre-shot numbers could easily be due to bounces (i.e., lower numbers during the cycle triggering a spike in numbers that you're seeing at pre-shot times). In other words, by not having any mid-cycle tests, you may have missed dose reductions.

I want to encourage you to read the starred, sticky notes at the top of the Board. They will help to familiarize you with how to best use Lantus.
