Pm dose tonight

Hi everyone,

If someone could look at Puddens numbers. She had a huge dip and was high again a couple of hours ago. I had to leave at the 111 and gave her high carb food to bring her up while I was gone just in case. I am not sure if I should give .75. She is at 555 now.
 
I think .75 is fine for tonight. Going forward, I'd encourage you to raise the dose. She dropped today but not into dangerous numbers. The short cycle could be a bounce, or a little too little insulin or a combination of the two.
 
Just gave the .75. I was going to raise it to 1 unit this morning, but didn't since I had an appt this afternoon. I am so mad I had to leave. I would have loved to stay and watch those numbers. I had to give high carb food just in case since she somtimes goes even lower as the day goes on. Of all the days to have some nice numbers grrrr:mad:. I hope this isn't to big a set back. I will raise to 1 unit tomorrow morning if she is in the 400s.
 
That always happens; it is like our kitties know when it is inconvenient for us to get a test, test out a dose, etc. They seem to have a sixth sense. It is just one cycle and I am sure there are plenty of good cycles to come.
 
Lol, yes it's like she had radar! It was so nice to see those blues. I can't wait to see some more of them soon.:cat:
