Edit: removing question mark tag; gave full dose.
Hi all - Rocket (acromegaly kitty) hit a low of 202 right now - we’ve been doing dose increases for about two weeks now and finally seeing results. Which is great, but he has an appointment this afternoon at 3:00 for a CT scan (under anesthesia) in preparation for SRT (radiation treatments) next week. Our instructions from the Dr. originally were that as long as Rocket eats a full meal at 9 a.m. (AM shot time, and 6 hrs prior to his appt.) he can have his full dose of insulin. But with Rocket’s numbers going down I’m thinking this isn’t a good idea. I normally feed him throughout the day so this would be 9 hrs or so without food. What do you guys think? Tagging a couple acro experts here but would love to hear any advice. Thank you.
