As Bubby's BG #'s are still mostly in the 400's even after 5 full days on .75 units of Lantus I am trying harder than ever to get him to eat a wet food diet. Does anybody know the carb count on the Simply Nourish wet food petsmart sells? I could not find it in the old or new wet food charts I refer to. They have some more interesting sounding varieties. Also he really enjoyed the wellness chicken/mackerel I gave him the other day but is turning his nose up at the plain chicken today. Do you think the chicken/mackerel would be bad to give everyday due to sea food even though phosphorus is not that high? I have tried quite a few FF and a couple of Friskies as well. Sometimes he will eat Sheba but even sprinkling with his dry food I am still struggling to find something he likes. I know I've ask about this subject before but any advice especially about the simply nourish would be appreciated.

I looked at Simply nourish today but didn't like the phrase tapioca starch in the ingredients. Personally I gave mine Merrik's Limited ingredient Chicken and limited Ingredient Turkey recently and they have approved of it so I think it will be my main food from now on.

I didn't see Merrik at petsmart. Do you buy it there?

I just did a +3 reading and it's 524. It almost seems the harder I try, the more it goes up. We have been feeding more canned food the last 3 days (wellness), still some dry (but less) 5 days on .75 lantus (up from .5) but still high numbers. We have been using freeze dried chicken for treats this week but it says ingredient: chicken so that shouldn't be bad. Right?
