Please Help! Very High Preshot with slighty greater dose

Preshot was 468. This is the third one in a row. t I wasn't getting numbers this high with a little less. Could this be my cat adjusting??
I haven't done testing after +6. Maybe the nadir is later sometimes? I got a preshot of 279 last week and in the past preshots in the 100's with this dose.

Is he over the pancreatitis? Or could it be flaring again?

Otherwise, given the mid-cycle tests have been over 150 mg/dL, I think you can give 1.75 when the tests are in the 400s.

Could it be a bounce? See where he is tomorrow? Also are you testing for ketones?

I checked for ketones. The colors don't really match up. I have a light color though.

Sounds trace - make sure he eats and gets lot of water. Add water to his food too. Want to flush those out. Anything more than trace go to the vet. Test yourself too and see what colour the strips go.. could just be because they are wet

It looks like the original color on the strip but wet.

Try using plain water. Sometimes the color just looks different when wet.

I tried with myself and plain water. It looks like the same color of cat's reading.

Great then you are fine! Its just wet. No ketones.

Thanks BJM for your help. The pancreatitis was seen on the X-ray at diagnosis. Lovey had no other symptoms such as vomiting. I will ask the vet if he can

do some tesing to see if he still has it.
