Please help - pre shot borderline low numbers - do I give the shot?

h but at 1.6 she was dropping very quickly and suddenly into greens
This is where the food given at the right time becomes very important in controlling the rate of drop. Also, some caats do a lot better with a few more carbs rather than the lowest available amount. Many cats need a higher percentage —but still under ten percent carbs — especially in the early portion of the cycle.

I am not seeing these steep drops on the 1.6 dose. Most of the time it took her until +5 to get into the greens so that is actually pretty typical and not a quick drop.

There is one day on the 1.6 dose (March 7) where she did drop into green at +3, but it was higher greens— 85 was the lowest I see on that day so nothing particularly alarming about that. On that day of March 7 she had started with a lower AMPS so it took her less time to get to green.

In the nighttime cycles I see the same thing— no green until +5.

So I would not say she is dropping too quickly, but then I look at a lot of spreadsheets. It does take a bit of time to get comfortable with greens and to know your cat’s patterns and realize when Kitty is going to surf along in green safely or when there may be a cause for concern. :bighug:
