Thanks so much to every one who has been helping DCIN by voting and encouraging others to vote. Voting link. And thanks to Helping Hands for sponsoring the contest.

DCIN gained a great lead over the weekend, but the competition has been slowly chipping away at it. So let's celebrate today by voting and sharing for DCIN.
What's to celebrate? party_cat Let's celebrate our unbirthdays. party_cat

If today is your birthday, let's celebrate that too.
One can vote every 24 hours from an ISP, so that means that with various devices and locations you and your family and friends can make multiple votes. With an Internet-enabled cell phone or other mobile device one can seek out wifi hot spots, like at coffee shops/cafes/restaurants, malls/shopping strips, government buildings, and groceries/pharmacies/variety stores.

Now DCIN is just 250 ahead. I know that people are probably suffering voting fatigue, but this is one vote where you know your every vote counts; as well it is only for 3 days more!

Thank so much to all who are voting and sharing. http://www.affordablepetsurgery.com/index_12.htm 1 vote per ISP per 24-hour period.

By a miracle of voting and sharing, DCIN regained it first place lead and opened the margin to 534 votes this morning Eastern time 6am. My faith was wobbly, but DCIN friends, including the many here on FDMB, pulled this out of the toilet.

Please don't relax. The competition is fierce and determined. The contest goes until midnight (Eastern time, I think) Sunday night (Father's Day).

The members on the west coast did a fantastic job last night. Probably some members from overseas as well. Please folksremember to look for voting opportunities. Some public hotspots have such good signals you can get them in your car! Our local donut shop is one.

FINAL PUSH: Just over 26 hours left to go. Still time to vote today, if you haven't yet, and if in the next couple hours, would be able to cast another vote tomorrow after 24 hours before the contest ending time of 11:59PM EST, Sunday 16th.

DCIN is in first place now, but there have been twists and turns throughout, with very competitive competition to say the least. Please keep voting and sharing to help maintain the lead and the win for DCIN! Go vote now!

The entire DCIN Team thanks everyone for your votes and sharing in the recent Helping Hands Surgical Contest. Due to your overwhelming support, Diabetic Cats in Need received almost one-third of the votes cast for the 31 contestants. DCIN’s first place finish was 1,700 votes ahead of the second-place rescue, although that result was uncertain many, many times during the two-week voting period. The second-place rescue and its friends are fierce competitors.

The contest was sponsored by Helping Hands Affordable Veterinary Surgery & Dental Care in Richmond, Virginia. We thank the people there for their generosity in making a total of $2,500 in account credits available to two contestants. We also thank Helping Hands for its bare-bones prices, which make surgeries affordable for many.

From Helping Hand's Facebook page: "Kat Simons at Lite 98 will be announcing our Grand Prize contest winner and doing a live drawing for the 2nd prize winner this Friday between 11:30 and noon live! Be sure to listen in as we have an extra surprise in store for all of the rescues that entered our contest!"
