Pita's Dosing Party: 2

I don't know that I would attribute the lower numbers to the sliding scale so much as to the fact that the doses were higher. And I think the shifts in dosing were what caused some of those lower numbers that made us think lowering the dose was needed. With the more recent data, I would think that the approach you're using now of raising the dose and holding it will get you back to the better numbers, but hopefully without the random 52-type numbers. So I would say to give one more 1.6 (tonight), and then move up to 1.8 and see what happens for another few cycles, then raise again, etc.

Pita isn't very bouncy, but he was when you were adjusting the dose. His numbers right now aren't pretty, but they're consistent. I think continuing to raise the dose will be more likely to get you back into better numbers, without sending him all over the place.

But that's why this is a peer review board and we always say, these are my opinions, I'm not a vet. Because I could be totally wrong. :)

I was focused more on Apr 6 to 15 when the doses were in and around 1.6 u range and there were blue PSs and green mid cycles. I really do come down on the side of consistency but it's hard to make a definite pronouncement on how he's doing now versus then - my opinion only. I like the blues and greens from that time. I could easily be convinced to stay the course if it was my kitty ...

Over to you, Caitlin ...

Hi all, I am having some car trouble and have NO clue how soon I'll be home. Should I plan to give a reduced dose whenever I am? Just checking in because I'm already stressed and feel horrible about being late. Thank goodness he had a snack earlier today.

There might be a bit of carry over of tonight's late dose into the morning tomorrow. You could possibly have a lower AMPS than expected because of this and will have to dose accordingly.

209 AMPS. Gave 1.4 (middle of last night's 1.2 reduction and 'normal' 1.6 lately). My thought was that he'll get his snack midday, and since it's for the 13 hours, I thought 1.2 might be just a bit too low. So I shall see! Thank you all for your help last night. It was a stressful couple hours and I felt so neglectful! PS- Happy Hump Day!!

I think a curve is in order for this weekend. I'm stumped. I knew his #'s would be lower the morning after his late shot, but both PS #'s we're lower the next day. I honestly wonder if he is just bouncing like crazy, but every day seems strange. I'll hope for the best with this 1.8 for the next couple days.

I agree that some form of curve is in order. You can't tell the impact of a dose without the nadirs, so fingers crossed that once you can see that, things will look better.
