Does he like being brushed? Or maybe make sure you do an interactive play session with him unless he's happier with his catnip sock :) Just trying to throw some extra ideas out.

He actually doesn't like treats! So even if he's jumped away, I make sure to go rub and kiss him and use a positive voice. I actually gave him a catnip sock this am as I was doing it but I'm not sure if it really helped. He does love catnip to play with.
Ok so instead of a food treat, give a pinch of catnip

I appreciate it! He's actually making me feel guilty right now sitting in front of his food bowl and meowing. What are some OK dry foods? I could always give him a few pieces after each test.

Maury still does this once in a while to me because I'm trying to cut back his DM dry food. I'm planning to try Young Again Zero carb or Nature's Variety Instinct Ultimate Protein for his crunchies. For now, I give him a spoonful of his wet food mixed with a little water. I got a couple cans of Fancy Feast Shrimp & Tuna for these because they were listed as 0% carb. I just started trying to freeze some wet food but still learning portions :cat:

I'll look into those! Upon thinking about it, a few pieces of a dry/high protein did might be the best thing. If anyone else has a good recommendation fur dry, let me know please!

Caitlin, here's the link I used to make my decision along with this forum :). I am aware the majority say no dry food but I'm figuring out Maury's treatment / management with a little dry between meals and 0 carb wet snacks (usually he asks for one snack maybe 2 days of each week).
