Not to bad of a start for a night of snacks because mom was a pansy and didn't feel safe leaving him with just 2 (how will he manage with only 2
meals?) meals for the night.
Here's to surfing it out today.
I have waited so many months for this cycle to kick in. It seemed no matter what I did I was constantly struggling against the highs of constipation and the lows of BMs. Well, back to Weruva we went and it has not taken long for it to sort itself out accordingly. Last night I was so nervous to shoot that 97 because in the months prior I was doing a high influenced by constipation. So, when it would release, I often found the dose a bit much. I have not seen him run a steady run for 24 hours since Washington and oh my how happy I am to see it!
He is snoozing (and quite loudly) in his chewy box at the moment. The winter pudge the gained from the raw lamb is sloughing off and he is trimming down again. I am ashamed to say that he put on an extra 1.5lbs.
No worries, because this food is doing the trick for him. More importantly, it is doing the trick for his bladder as well!
You know, we had the oddest thing happen a little while back. Tail, who has always been my healthy tank, just decided to stop eating one day. I was a little worried, but sometimes he gets picky so I brushed it off. Well, about two hours later his unwillingness to eat was joined with lethargy and I knew something was up. I called and got an emergency vet appointment and by the time we made it his temperature was sky high and his skin was glowing red!
I have never seen a cat flush red. I felt awful for him. We ran hundreds of dollars worth of tests to find them all inconclusive. They gave him IV fluids and tried to give convenia (nope, not today vetters....). I opted for oral antibiotics instead. He got a few doses of potassium as well. Within two doses of the AB he was scarfing down food like it never happened. It was so odd. I never did figure out what it was that made him ill.
I said it before but I'll say it again.... We are SO glad to be home! Missed you all!
