I am running so late on posting! So sorry! Things have been crazy at the job with a new Store Manager... Went from working the night shift to almost all days... It has been a struggle to adapt not only Pig's shot times, but myself as well.

It would seem that he had a really good cycle last night with a +5 of 297 and a amps of 291! We had a bit of a fiasco over night.. My refrigerator decided to crap out and I woke to water everywhere! All I could see was hundreds of dollars in raw food and medicine flushing down the drain! Thankfully, I as able to get it up and running in about 2--3 hours and no harm was done... Whew!

Pig is taking quiet well to the raw food, but I am mixing it with wet (not together). I am also keeping a good watch on his output as this effects his urination as well. So far so good. I will say, though, that Tail my pampered scaredy cat who apparently does not appreciate the site of blood, hates it! He won't touch the stuff. He wants his fully cooked and prepared. Someone needs to teach him the value of a good raw steak, I suppose!

To answer your question from yesterday, yes I would adjust the R up by 0.25, at least to start. If you get a lower yellow start, maybe stick with 0.5. At least until you have a little more data on 0.75.

As for Levemir, we typically start at a dose that is 70% of the Lantus dose, as some kitties show a strong initial reaction. And I would only do the Lev start when you can monitor closely the first couple of cycles. No R then of course.

Good to hear Pig loves the raw. Neko loved it from the start too.

Okay. I will start that tomorrow morning or night, depending on if my brother can monitor until I get home. I have to be at work at six in the morning, so it will have to wait. However, I do think it is time.

The start of Levemir will be soon. I may need to purchase a Lantus pen to keep him until I will be able to be at home to monitor him.. Maybe get my brother down here a bit more to help out.

So, what would cause a kitty to sleep so hard that it is hard to wake them up? I mean, he seems to just do it some, but then he is all limp and snoring... I can't figure out if he is so relaxed he is sleeping very well or what... It freaks the crap out of me whenever it happens... I am testing for ketones tonight...

Asia does that, I don't know why. Every once in blue moon she will be so dead asleep you can lift up her leg and drop it, she doesn't even notice. This is when I go have a peek in her mouth and investigate the teefs! It freaked me out at first too because it was so hard to wake her up I was worried, but she's been doing it for years.

Omg thank you!!! It scares me half to death! I can wiggle his nose and move his head and he is OUT! The first time it happened I had him almost all the way picked up before he woke up and then, of course, I thought I was going to die from a heart attack... :nailbiting: I have never seen a cat do that before and I've been in this game a while... Has me checking on him every 5 seconds.. He is probably so worn out from me bugging him that he just sleeps hardcore now... Yikes! Makes my heart drop!
