Photos from yesterday, I hope this is ok.

I've been trying to get out of the house as often as weather allows; I refer to it as photo-therapy.....it helps to take my mind off things for a while; I miss Boomer so very much.

DH took me to Long Point (on Lake Erie) yesterday and I thought, if it's ok with our admins, that I might post some photos today (well not just today but occasionally) since posting in this forum is another thing that I'm missing.

We went specifically to see Sandhill Cranes.....well it certainly wasn't a problem finding them they were all over the place and there were thousands of them!

We made a brief stop at the beach....the water is still open surprisingly but there was nothing in it. Walking back to the car though.....thankfully I looked up because there was a female Snowy Owl in a tree!

We stopped for lunch at a town nearby.....saw something in a tree which luckily stayed until after lunch. Turned out it was a juvenile Bald Eagle! It was actually one of four that I saw yesterday.

I have others but haven't had a chance to get them edited yet.

If this post isn't ok then please let me know....I will understand :)

Oh Judy, this is awesome :bighug: I would be extra sad if I thot I’d not get to see your beautiful photography again :bighug: Love that you share your gift with us all :bighug: The Snowy Owl is my fav

I think we all look forward to seeing your photos. That was one thing I missed about your posts.

Is Boomer still talking to you?
Thank you Mandy! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
He hasn't called me....maybe he read his condo and found out it was making me worry about him.
I've been told by several people that Cardinals are representatives of loved ones that have crossed. So when I'm out and about and see a Cardinal....especially if it's singing....I like to think that Boomer has sent him to me. :bighug::cat:

Of course it's OK!

I didn't know that about cardinals. I have a pair of cardinals, Bernie (I used to live in Chicago and friends named the cardinal after Cardinal Bernadin) and his mate, Sister, who come to visit during the wam weather. Two summers ago, they nested and had 3 groups of fledglings in my courtyard.
Thanks Sienne!

It’s great to see you Judy! I always enjoy your photos! I gave some of your photo cards to my friend for her BD and she loved them!

When my sister called to tell me her husband was in the hospital, and was being worked on, I happened to look out my slider and a brilliant and beautiful cardinal was sitting on my bench. I knew right then he was gone... that cardinal hung out on my bench for days!

There were 2 Cardinals singing this morning; I had stopped at 2 places and there was one at each place.

I know, on top of all the other aspects of such a loss, suddenly not posting daily leaves a huge void as well. I'm glad Sienne chimed in, because you and Boomer are still part of the LBL family :bighug::bighug::bighug:.

Stunning photos, as always. Your shots make us feel like we are actually there! I love that Boomer is hanging out with you via the cardinals.

When I get up in the morning and walk into the kitchen I don't know what to do.....for 6 years I washed the overnight dishes, tested, fed, shot, and started the post in this forum. I'm.....lost now!

Ditto! Doesn't seem like LBL without the chance to see your beautiful pics every once in a while. Besides, you are family now.:bighug:

If you want to be "legit", just start your post with OT (for off topic) or Loose Lips. Both of those are time honoured traditions here.
Thanks Wendy!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I’m so glad you’ve posted these!! I always loved your photographs as I love to go bird watching as well!! You always seem to have the jackpot of birds!! I rarely see anything this cool! I hope to see more of these as I’ve missed them! So glad to see you posting here. :):bighug::bighug:

My mother in law who lives in Nova Scotia. Takes beautiful pictures of different types of birds. Every year end of January first part of February. They have a eagle watch at Sheffield Mills, there are lots of bald eagles. Lots of photographers there to take their pictures.
Have a great day!

We actually want to go to BC this year to see either the grizzlies during the salmon run or the Bald Eagles!

Wow thank you everyone! I feel very fortunate to have you all in my FD family!
I continue to go out as much as I can and I'm paying special attention to the cardinals now. There is one place I go to frequently (where the eagles are), Greenway Park, and there have been lots of cardinals there and, for the last 3 or 4 visits, there is a male that sings happily away. I really feel that Boomer has sent him my way to make me happy:bighug::cat:

Today, after visiting Greenway Park, I visited Springbank Park.....went to the spot known to host many birds and there was just one there....yes it was a male Cardinal. He wasn't singing....but he did sit for me while I photographed him. I thanked him with some seed and peanuts.

Oh Judy! I'm so glad you were able to get out and take those gorgeous photos! I was amazed that you got such a great one of the crane in flight!!! I'll probably never see a snowy owl since I flee from the snow/cold places these days - more likely to see a flamingo! :p

I do miss your daily posts with your photos - you KNOW I am a fan of your beautiful photos - often showing them to DH. You're very talented and as a member of this big family I do hope you continue to share with us - it was a bright spot in my day to see your pics!

Looking forward to seeing more. Thank you so much for sharing :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Sue! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Judy - the Snowy Owl is something I would just love to see in real life. Your photo melts my heart a little bit! They are all great, and always have been. These would be awesome post cards, or large pics on the wall too! I still miss Boomer, and am so glad to know his spirit is alive and well:bighug::cat::bighug:

Snowy Owls are my favourite but I usually only see 1 or 2 each winter.
