A friend of mine has a cat that was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. It has been years since I have had a cat with CKD. I am going to send her the link to the food chart. What is the maximum phosphorus level she should use when selecting foods she can give her cat? The cat is already on a canned food diet.

Thanks

Yes and closer to 100 the better . Right now I have Elmo on Whole Earth Duck and Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken plus extra water added to each feeding . It can be challenging but is doable , especially since Chewy carries most varieties .

If she can't find allow phosphorus food the cat likes she can add a phosphorous binder to it (Aluminum hydroxide). Also tell her to join the Facebook group called Cats with Chronic Renal Failure.
