Keep in keeping on, Eric. She gives you some nice numbers and then bounces. Have I ever mentioned Cassie? He is under Bookworm in the remission thread. He bounced for two years straight; Lisa tried everything. But eventually, he started lowering and flattening our, and went off the juice and has been in remission for years.

So there might be hope for the little tribe of tricky kitties here! I'm looking at you, Teasel, Maggie, Phoebe and Hermione ...;)

I pray that happens for Phoebe! I know she gets tired of the needles and glucose tests.

This reading was after her 530am feeding. As well as some treats. I'm still wrestling with the thought of getting Phoebe a friend? She seems happy but I know she likes too play and wrestle as she did with Bobo. But she's highly territorial with outsiders and change. Not sure how'd that effect her numbers? But is it just about the numbers? We're still working this out.

Are you thinking kitten or older cat? Maybe boy would be better? She may get upset at first and her numbers go up, but that should settle down after they get used to each other. You're keeping good track of her BG's so you should be able to handle any rise or lowering of numbers.

If you can find a kitty friend who will allow Phoebe to be the boss without being afraid of her it would likely work out. I have a good friend with an elderly female boss kitty who adjusted eventually when my friend adopted a very large (20 pounder!) male kitty who'd been sitting at the humane society for months. They worked it out: elderly girl rules and big boy allows her to.
