Phoebe's Rebound pt.4

Good Morning Eric ~ Hope Phoebe will clear the bounce soon. She could have gone a little lower last night thus the stinky pinky today. How many units did you give today? It says AMPS in the unit box.

I'd probably go lower... .75 maybe? Since we don't know what happens on that dose but she got it at a lower number on 10/7 and to me it LOOKS like you had a bounce that night. No way to know for sure but that would be my guess. What do you think?

I agree with you. I wish l didn't have too work today. :( I'll give her .75

We all understand that! Work had gotten in my way a few times with treating Gypsy too. You do what you can. Remember this is good news...and will be good data gathering for you!

Looks like that may not have been enough insulin. It was good that you were able to get some mid cycles today! So next time, we know what you'll get on this does, and can probably try 1 unit to see if that works better. It's all data gathering....

Hi Eric
I see you gave her 2 units this morning - if she is still running high at pmps, I would consider increasing her dose tonight - what do others think?

Looks like she is bouncing to me. You basically either ride it out or do a tiny increase in hopes of jolting her back down. I can't tell you which is right for Phoebe... I might be tempted to increase and monitor to see if it helps.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other I think. If Phoebe shares any of Teasel's tendencies, a tiny dose increase might shift her. Teasel also tends to get stuck in higher numbers if a bounce leaves him there for too many cycles.

I agree, it is hard to tell. She could be bouncing from the blues on 10/14, 10/15. But her pattern lately seems to be to recover from lows faster and not have an extended bounce. She has been sitting at 2 units for a long time. I think I'd vote in favor of an increase - small one. Maybe 2.25 and monitor?

Also, be sure nothing else is going on. No changes in the litter box, no possible infections etc.
