Petsmart sale on treats - fyi

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd let you know, if you don't know already, that Petsmart is having a 3 for 2 sale on Kitty treats until the 27th of this month. Since treats are a great poke incentive but are also expensive it might be a good time to stock up! I just started giving Simmie the freeze dried chicken breast and he is over the moon for them and it actually makes it easier for me to get his BG. He also loved having some of the canned food as a treat but that was even more expensive and he wiggled too much to get at it. He is more patient if he can get one treat then see the bag of deliciousness in front of him.

I am looking for some new treats for Hannah, as her former treats (Lean Treats) from the vet are off limits, now. Are the treats that you refer to a PetSmart brand? She really, really misses her treats, so I am interested in checking this out. Also, as you mention, these will make BG time a little easier. Thanks!

I use PureBites 100% freeze dried treats - they come in several flavors, but I usually get chicken or turkey. My Tink loves the whitefish too, but I try not to give him much fish. I'm not sure if PetSmart carries them, but they probably do (I know PetCo does). Anything that is 100% freeze dried meat should be ok - just make sure there isn't anything else in it. A lot of the jerky type treats are NOT 100% meat. The freeze dried treats are nice because they're crunchy - and for a former dry food addict... that's important.

Actually, Petsmart does NOT carry the PureBites freeze dried treats. Petco does. At least where I live here in Massachusetts/NH area.

Well Ms. Deb I beg to differ! :lol: Joking! But really, I just bought 3 bags from Petsmart and I double checked the bag and they are PureBites. No kidding. I bet the stores have some degree of flexibility in purchasing depending on demographics.

Night, Lydette and Simmie who has already gone through 4 ice cubes in the last hour! Wouldn't it be nice if all our 'kids' would just love ice cubes instead of expensive treats!
