I have posted a cheaper food list here viewtopic.php?f=28&t=84512
and I use the Petsmart brand wet food. (with others)

I went to my local PS and noticed that several flavors were missing-and they had moved the food to the last row with less room. I asked where the rest of the flavors were and was told they were "tring to get pet owners to switch to healthier food" when I inquired like what? I was told that the dry expensive foods were so much better.... and I explained I had a diabetic cat and needed the lower carb wet foods. But I realize that a cashier has no control so I told her thank you and got my food and left.

Anyone run into this where they are?

When I went to a Columbus, OH PetSmart, I didn't even see the Great Choice food. You might see if you can order it online.

My guess is the profit margin on dry food is greater - cheaper ingredients, less expensive to ship (no water), and no metal container.

My local pet smart - actually had a great sale on it (27 cents a can) as they were getting rid of them. Reason - to make room for the new version (label) of the cans, which they now have and my great deal is gone!
