Pepcid opinions?

As I have mentioned in prior posts, Sica has been throwing up a little bit. One of the vets we see has recommended pepcid (we didn't give it to her). Another one recommended an injection with a stomach soothing medicine that idk how to translate in English.
We went for the injection for now but I was wondering what's your opinion on pepcid?
 
I would first try feeding throughout the day. Cats will sometimes throw up liquid if their stomach gets a bit acidic from not having eaten for quite a few hours. I would try giving Sica some food at around +8.

Also, if you have changed Sica's diet and she's no longer getting dry food, could you remove the information from your signature?

I've only added the info to the signature like that because we haven't completely switched her to wet food so I thought I should have both foods written there as she transitions.
And she does eat throughout the day, she grazes about 2-3 times in between shots

Hi Aito,
I am not an experienced member, but i gave my guy Lando some Pepcid for a little while and he did not have any bad reactions. The Pepcid, however, did not help his pancreatitis symptoms ( which was my goal). If you end up giving your kitty pepcid, my only advice is to double, triple, quadruple check that it is NOT maximum strength, and that the dosage is correct for your kittys weight.

Thanks for the input! Sica has stopped throwing up for a few days so I decided to not try the Pepcid yet, but I will keep that in mind if I ever need it in the future!
 
Pepcid is safe for cats, though I would only use it if feeding a snack doesn't work as antacids can disturb the stomach flora and could make the situation worse. Cats who have kidney disease can be offered pepcid as poor kidney function can create excess acid in the stomach.
