Pelle is almost ready to go OTJ. He has had no insulin for the last 5 days and before that only one shot a day. The last amps and pmps has been between 70-80 so that is really good news.
Pelles story:
In november I was contacted by a couple in the other end of Denmark. They had decided to put their cat Pelle to sleep, because the vet had told them that he didn't react to insulin at all. But the day before they found my webpage and then called me. I told them to give me a weeks chance to see if he would react and they accepted. The first week they started to change the food and hometesting. Pelle got his diabetes due to an overuse of steroids for a few months and I new it would probably be a hard time to get him OTJ. Pretty fast and due to the food change, we could see that he indeed got an reaction from the insulin, but the insulin was pretty bad and the vet agreed to subscribe levemir for him. Since then his numbers has been stable and slowly dropping. And now, 2 months since they contacted me, we are getting ready for his OTJ party, and his family is so happy.
So thank you all for your help with Pelle, and thank you for helping me help Pelles family. For me levemir was a new experience but i am so happy to have it to continue to help other people through my webpage.
