Good morning,

About to head home and give Peeka her +2. The numbers the last two days seem to be holding pretty steady, tonight’s test will be later than usual as I have to work, my wife will be administering shots and we’re both on the same page as far as dosage is concerned.

Peeka’s neuropathy seems to get worse when she walks on the wood tile which makes up about 80% of our floor in the house. When she is able to walk on carpet and rugs she can dig in her claws a little bit and get a better grip. I know I bring this up a lot, and I know we are still in the early days, it doesn’t make it any easier to watch though. I’m sorry to continue bringing this up, it’s just the one thing that sets me off quicker than anything. Trying to maintain positivity for my wife and Peeks, her numbers aren’t as bad, which I’m thankful for. I just wish I had some sort of visual confirmation that we are headed on the right track.

Anyways, thanks for allowing me a place to vent and share victories, I’m sorry if I get repetitive in my stories and updates, I’m feeling as though we are taking her treatment one step at a time right now, making the food change, and the next will be a dose change once her food is 100% switched over. As I’ve said before, I just wish I could make it better instantly for her.

I hope everyone has a good day, look forward to chatting with you all.

If only I had such a magic wand I'd give it to you in a heartbeat, Peter. :bighug:

I know it. I appreciate the support here, I know many of y’all have gone through similar with their cats. I don’t have anyone in my personal life who knows how to deal with this. Her +2 came in at 242, so it does seem her levels are somewhat steady currently with her dosage and diet change. Legs looked better this morning on the tile from her short walk to the water bowl.

Awwww ((Peeka))) scritches to you sweet girl.
It will come Peter. It will. The walking on hocks killed me for poor Trouble. He was pretty chunky and it looked like it was his weight that had him struggling to walk. I felt just HORRIBLE for weeks. Peekas on the road to recovery. She'll get there with your gentle guidance. ;):coffee:

Some days definitely feel better than others. When I left she did look slightly better walking.

In good news, she seems to be loving her new bed. I will wake up at random times throughout the night to find her sleeping peacefully on her bed. Very glad she has taken to it, my wife thought it was way too big for her, but Peeks doesn't seem to mind at all, and probably prefers to be able to spread out.

@Deb & Wink Good morning! Here is Peeka's thread for the day. Not much to report, which I've come to realize may not be a bad thing after all.
