Peeka 9/16 AMPS 315 +3 225

Gave Peeka her insulin a little bit earlier than normal today to try and get a +3. Was slightly upset to see her still above 200s even with the +3. Although I do think I had read that it takes a few days for the new dosage to kick in. Hopefully we will start getting some numbers around 150 here soon.

In good news, Peeka's neuropathy seems to be improving. She still isn't walking gracefully and doesn't want to jump on her chair to get to her food bowl, but her gait is improving slightly. Not as much giving out on her legs, able to walk a little further distances. So I will gladly take that.

Last item, we've started to figure out a routine of getting Peeka to use the litter again in the morning and when we get home to avoid any accidents while my wife and I are away. It's not perfect, but if it prevents her from using our carpet floor and having the wife have to clean it up, I will gladly take it!

You are right it does take time for a dose to settle. paws crossed!

Thanks Jeanne! Still a ways to go, but I feel like we have made some strides in the right direction recently, hoping to have a better handle on things by the time baby comes around. Last thing I need is taking care of potty incidents for 2!

 

Peeka PMPS 450. I did give her insulin an hour earlier to try and get a +3 this morning. Could that be a reason she is higher? Not doing anything else differently.

Ya know Peter? I think maybe this dose just needs to settle. I know its hard seeing that red pop out at ya but...the dose was just changed. just my unsolicited 2cents.

 

That’s what I’m hoping for as well. And this weekend we’ll be back to normalish

Could be. Hold steady. Notice the pattern from the last dosage change? Those NA's would have been helpful. Not that you had a choice. Thats completely understandable. It is though, a stark reminder of the importance of testing and regulation. You'll get there I have confidence you and Peeka will be successful.

 

I believe so also. Thankfully tonight I won’t have to work so I can continue getting some testing in then. Hoping we get some lower numbers here soon. Spoke with our vet last night about getting Peeka onto Prozinc, so as soon as he gets some more in, I think we’ll be making the switch.
