Peeka 11/18 Vet Visit

Dropped Peeka off at the vet today. I did give her insulin this morning and asked them to test her every so often, I'm expecting higher than normal numbers today with that regard. Not much activity to speak of last night, she did have more runny stool, but it did look like it was trying to firm up towards the end. I brought them that sample to check it out. Other than that, she was acting normal, getting up and down from the ottoman, eating and drinking regularly, wanting pets and scratches. I'll keep you all posted with any information I get today from the vet!

Update: Dr. Doesn't think anything too serious is going on, a possible pancreas flare up, but everything came back normal. He told me to continue monitoring, but nothing else to report at this time.

If it is a potential flare-up I suggest watching for early warning signs of nausea and pain (e.g. sitting in tense meatloaf-like position, especially after eating). Fingers and paws crossed the diarrhoea will clear up quickly.

Thanks, Mogs. I’ll keep an eye out for it next time! I picked her up and she was not pleased with me. Hope she quickly forgives me!
