Okay not my original idea I'm borrowing it from Sue over on the PZI forum but here's how it works. When you post your daily condo here take a few moments to go do a little forum hopping. Go over to one of the other ISGs or Health. Say Hi on someone else's condo. Befriend a scared newbie, offer a few kind words or a virtual hug. In short go out and meet the neighbors.

We here in Relaxed Lantus are a small group and at times its pretty quiet over here but that doesn't mean we don't have something to offer the rest of the board. Even if you're fairly new yourself, you've still got certain things down like testing, feeding schedules and most importantly a love of a sugarcat. So even if it's just stopping by someone's very first post on Health with a hug and a reminder to Breathe it's not the end of the world speech. Or to share the story of you and your sugarcat's journey thus far.

Go Share The Love!!

Amazing friendships happen here daily. If it wasn't for some amazing people on this board. Musette would have been stranded in Omaha when the airport she was scheduled to fly into flooded but Marcy &Klinger scooped her up in Denver and drove her to meet up with Jon and I at the Colorado/Nebraska line. Autumn travelled from Minnesota to Nebraska being handed off from one board member to the next. Maxwell's foster mom and I speak on the phone several times a week.

I actually find that I still learn new things about FD when checking in on Health posts so I read a lot of them on a daily basis. I think it is also important to back other members up who beat me in posting an response. I think it helps a newbie to get confirmations on advice. Also, a short welcome shows a newbie that there are a whole lot of strangers interested in their cat's health and care. This knowledge is so beneficial to easing into this sugardance.

Exactly Robin.

Even after 4 years and now 6 sugarcats I'm still learning. Because Every Cat Is Different as well as Every Care Giver Is Different. I'm always learning new tips and tricks to help the next newbies here in RL.
And while I haven't had a chance lately I also try to at least have a basic working knowledge of all the different insulins and the various protocols. Because there is no one perfect insulin or protocol that works for all cats or care giver. But it is also the friendships that are built here among people who share one common interest their love of cats. Even if you live alone in a cabin on the side of a mountain you're never alone.

Hi Mel,

Just popping over from Health (and my new soon-to-be-home PZI) to say I think I love you!!!!
Those of us who generally only post in a single forum really should 'get out more'.

~ Let's pick up Sue and Mel's banner, folks, and start a new trend!
