Patches arrived in my home February 9, 2005 as an already being treated diabetic cat that was given up with her civi brother. Her brother quickly go adopted.
Patches has been getting one in age and For a couple of years I have been syringe feeding her most of her calories.
This morning she was here normal self and got up and ate a good amount by herself. Then at about noon today I heard a thump in the bathroom (she spent all her time in the bathroom, yes the whole almost 10 years). She was lying on the floor and could not walk. A little later she crawled into here litter box.
I took here to the vet. x-rays and blood work did not show anything. Neurological problems were suspected. She seems to get worse, less responsive and I then knew it was time.
I did not leave the vent alone since I have learned to always bring my dog Raggy so I would not leave the vet alone.
