Now today she is back to hiding, not eating and/or just sitting around.

This roller coaster ride is getting so frustrating...:( She was 85 so she got no insulin today. She got 2 syringes RS food with fortiflora and her appetite stimulant...........could it be the fortiflora upsetting her tummy and making her not want to lick anything or eat ????

I am thinking she might have pancreatitis again....she had an episode in 2015 but was way, way, way worse.....I am doing the fluids, the vomiting meds, the pepcid, the appetite stimulant, the only thing missing is the bupe.....they never did a pancreatitis test when they did the initial bloodwork and found the diabetes. Not sure if i should subject her to a vet ride when i am doing much of what is required. i will call vet in the morning and see if we can go over that list and he can give me some bupe and a different appetite stimulant. I am doing fluids twice a week now, so maybe I need to go back to every other day ?????????

If you are syringe feeding I wouldn't give the forti flora mixed in. One of my kitties would become nauseous from forti flora because of the animal digest. If you suspect pancreatitis stop using the forti flora...the animal digest is not good for a kitty with a pancreatic episode.. Really it is only good for trying to encourage them to eat on their own.

I can't offer any thoughts on the numbers since there is no spreadsheet for Patches.

Sending prayer and healing energy. :bighug: :bighug:

Thank you Mary Ann :bighug: I know this wasn't for me but I did not know this so I definitely won't try to use it again until we are through our first (hopefully last) episode :)
