GOOD NEWS - Her numbers have been upper 90's and low 100's so her insulin has been cut down to nothing or .5u - depending!!!! YIPPEE!!!!

BAD NEWS - She is still not eating. I have increased her syringe feeding to 2 full syringes of RS food per sitting and she is tolerating it pretty well. I am alternating the fortiflora in the syringe at one sitting and the lysine in the syringe at another sitting. This should be fine, right?? :banghead:

She gets her appetite stimulant every other day per vet(which I would think should be working better by now! :( ). And she gets pepcid once a day. She is licking some food on her own during the day on and off, but no consistent eating!!! :'(

Any suggestions would help and please continue to say prayers for this stubborn girl to start eating and keep eating!!!!

I will keep both of you in my prayers. Has the vet done any x-rays or an ultrasound to see if there is anything going on inside her? That may be one thing to consider. Also, is she on any pain meds? If she is in pain, then that could also affect her appetite.

Sniffing, a little licking and then walking away from food might be indicative of nausea.Does it sound like what you are observing? If yes maybe some Cerenia can help, it usually works well with Famotidine and many use it in combination with appy stimulant. Does she have an acid tummy? I am asking because of her daily Famotidine dose..
