Better night she was at a good number most of the night and at 290 now. Should I give her a full unit since I can be here to monitor her?
One issue I am not sure about though. twice yesterday and once this morning she acted like she was trying to throw up but nothing was vomited. She hasn't shown any other signs of illness, she's active and walking fine, eating well, doesn't drink much out of the bowl but then I add lots to her food at feedings.

Was getting a bit too long after her dose time so I drew up a full dose and squirted out 2 or 3 drops like Sue suggested on the 19th for a smaller number. I will monitor her today and see how that does for her.

This sounds fine. Remember these first few weeks are about gathering data: this dose was too high because it did this, this dose was a little low because it did that. Your job is to keep her from dropping too low so being cautious at first is fine.

PS. Wendy gave you a link to shooting low numbers on the Health forum. That is pertinent to Lantus users only. Because that insulin is a slower release than ProZinc, they can shoot lower numbers as a general practice. ProZinc users can shoot numbers under 200 but it is wisest to wait until you have data that suggests how your cat might react.

Thanks Sue....Slow and Careful till data is collected? She does seem to be improving she hasn't been in the black numbers in almost 10 days!!!! :RAHCAT And only a couple of the reds. Its not where we want to be but very, very encouraging.
