Quick question...I was thinking something that might be wrong so throwing it out there to see what you guys think. I keep reading about sliding scale and I found a sliding scale thing and based on it was thinking something like this

200-250 .5 u
250-300 1u
300 or more 1.5u

What do you guys think?? I do agree she looks like she needs a dose increase because she doesn't consistently stay even in the 200's but she has dropped into the 100's so I know she is capable. I jusy worry about giving her the 1.5 when her numbers are lower since she has had those low dips. If the scale needs tweaked please feel free to correct it cause it was just a thought a rough starting out thought even.

Great job putting together a sliding scale. I am impressed!

I think it looks good. Try it and try to get midcycles whenever possible so you have some data to use if you want to adjust it up or down.

Well I did use a scale that was a bit higher on the doses and included more ranges but also shot at lower than 200. Since I know I am new to this I didn't want to try shooting lower than 200 yet and know she does good on 1u at 250 so just went from there. Ok I will start her on this scale tomorrow and also get a curve during the day. Been a bit since I did one anyway. Crossing fingers and eyes that finally we will see regular good numbers from her. 3 days to see if a cycle is really working well right?

I'd give at least 3 days. Gypsy took about a week to really settle in to any cycle so it can be different for some. 3 days is the norm I believe.

Ok so I will just keep following the scale and ask you guys any questions that come up. Like always lol ....Seriously thanks guys I couldn't imagine a month ago trying this. My vet says she would be amazed if I could get her under 200 regularly here is to hoping she is amazed very soon!

Awesome plan. Fingers & Paws crossed by me and RumpelT. :thumbup

We love to "amaze" our vets.
