Patch has been in the reds and pinks for several days now. I'm thinking of increasing to 1.5 units. I just don't think it's safe that he's in the pinks and reds constantly. What would you guys recommend?

I also started to give him 1/4 of fancy feast before I go to bed around 10:30pm in order for his numbers to not go too low at night. I usually give him half a can before shots (7AM and 7PM) and a couple of small meals in between (1/4 can). I tested him at midnight and his numbers were still in the red and pinks.

I suspect he may still be bouncing. Hold this dose through tomorrow, and tomorrow night remind me to take a look.
I tested him last night at 7pm before shot and at 10pm and 1am and his numbers are still in the highs 300s and into the 400s. I believe he might need an increase. What would you recommend? The vet said he was pretty skinny, you can feel his spine. So i don't know if I should be feeding him more. He's constantly hungry and he could easily eat 4 cans of fancy feast a day if he wanted to. Right now he eats a total of 3 cans a day.

It's fine to give your kitty more food.

I'd also strongly encourage you to always get a test before you give a shot. It's the only way to know if your cat's pre-shot numbers are in a safe range to give insulin.
