When Sheba gets pancreatitis she goes off her food ( nausea), appears uncomfortable, gets lethargic, gets dehydrated, has tender tummy.
Sometimes has a temperature. Sometimes vomits. Sometimes has a loose poop. But not always.
Treatment for Sheba is SubQ flds to correct the dehydration, something for the pain, injection for the nausea. Then hopefully she will feel like eating a few hours later. Needs encouragement for a few days though.
If it is severe they may have to stay at the vets, but I usually take Sheba home unless she is very unwell.
Some people have the antinausea tablets at home.
There is a blood test the vet can do to confirm it is pancreatitis.
